Okay, so in the episode "Fearless Ferret" Ron says "I have a slight stigmatism, but the doctor says I don't need corrective lenses! Y'know... yet." But looking at his parents, both of whom wear glasses, it just might be a matter of time...

I'd been thinking on this a bit when I saw a sketch by and decided to do my own drawing of Ron in glasses.

I decided to go the "insecure route" because I remember how insecure I was when I first got glasses... though Ron seems pretty self-assured most of the time and glasses are considered stylish nowadays, so he may not react like this at all.

Scratchy, messy lines, a bit of experimentation with colouring (I found an awesome tutorial, but I'm not to sure if I really did anything too much different...) and what's this? My first attempt at drawing Rufus in my style? It wasn't easy... I looked up naked molerats and it's hard to make the little critters look cute when you're trying a less streamlined and less abbreviated style.

I dunno how happy I am with this... I don't know if it's the glasses or the expression but it doesn't seem as Ron-like as it should so I may scrap it later. I am happy with how the hand turned out, though.
